Understanding BPD 1 – The Lost Self – The Impact of the core wound of abandonment Ebook

Understanding Borderline Personality Disorder – The Lost Self – The Impact of The Core Wound of Abandonment Book features a thorough examination and explanation geared toward helping you understand Borderline Personality Disorder and gain insight into and awareness of the impact of the core wound of abandonment in BPD and the direct effect of it on how and why people diagnosed with BPD do not have a stable sense of identity. More than just lacking a stable sense of identity, however, it is much more accurate to realize that people with BPD have truly lost the authentic self inside. They live from a false self – that is the central core dynamic of so much of everything that is “borderline” – behavior, relating, splitting, punishing, and so forth. The on-going legacy of the core wound of abandonment unless and until people with BPD find help, support, validation, and expert coaching (like I offer) and/or therapy the defense mechanism that are employed in efforts to protect against pain that one has no coping tools or skills for is what directly keeps you stuck and blocked in the pain of BPD. “Borderline” defense mechanisms are protective, primitive, about the past and no longer work in the here and now. To heal, get better, and recover, it is necessary to first peel back the layers of those defenses and the negative core beliefs that support them so that you can really get on the road to finding the lost authentic self – a self that Object Relations Theorist Melanie Klein said essentially dies at the time of emotional arrests in development. Klein said, that the woundedness of those who go on to develop mental illness and BPD, specifically, experience, “… they psychological death of the otherwise burgeoning authentic self.”

You can find, reclaim, and re-parent your lost authentic self, you really can.

This Ebook explains, from the inside out, the many layers and various aspects of the impact of what A.J. has termed the “core wound of abandonment” that she identified in her journey of recovery as the wound that is central to what BPD actually is and how and why it persists.
