Anxiety, Stress, Fear, Panic – Not a Time to Trust Your Thoughts
What a very stressful time or anxiety-filled time, strong feelings of fear, or a full-blown panic attack is time for is learning how to to calm yourself, soothe yourself, practice self-care and to use the tools and techniques I talk about in this audio to radically accept the heightened emotion and practice coping in ways that will calm you down and move you through and out of intense emotion, stress, anxiety, fear, and/or panic. Then, and only then do you want to work on understanding more about what all those feelings mean and what the thoughts are that drive those feelings.
The time for thinking and connecting the dots is when you are calmer and when the intense emotions have passed. For some, this might be conflicting feelings about a decision and for others this is a more ingrained patterned experience that repeats in your life. Either way, as I talk about in this audio and in the work I do with my Coaching Clients, there are ways to cope effectively when stressed or in a fear-based anxiety and/or panic state that involve processing and looking at what these feelings and the subconscious thoughts behind them need you to know more about so you can free yourself, ultimately, from this most uncomfortable, painful, and for many, terrifying experience. An experience that is repetitive for many in their lives. An experience that isn’t going to kill you, it is actually not half as negative as you may have always believed it to be.
